Mark Gleeson participated in the launch and migration of SPT Asia properties to new principal owners and developed a launch plan for IPTV/OTT and streaming feeds into Mexico/South America for a major US based studio. At OnQueue Studios he was responsible for the technical design and operational implementation of this post-production start-up. Currently Mark is a Consultant/Network Member with GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) and collaborates with executives at leading technology, media and investment companies in analysis of leading media technology solutions in those spaces.

 

In his work at SPT, Mr. Gleeson was Senior Vice President of Technology & Operations-Networks based in Los Angeles and London.  While in London, he directly implemented a hybrid local/cloud based (using AWS) media management, production and post-production environment to fully control the supply chain and deliverables for single & multi-camera production/post, cable & satellite distribution, OTT, FAST & AVOD/SVOD, digital streaming and disaster recovery services. The system realized significant cost savings and contributed >3M additional operating profit year 1.  One of Mr. Gleeson’s larger projects was creation of a technical RFP, response analysis, deal negotiation and contract implementation of a master services agreement using a major technology vendor for origination and streaming services resulting in a 55% service fee savings over the previous vendor while significantly improving performance KPIs.  He served as Executive in Charge of Production for studio & remote production, streaming and broadcast of ICC World Cup and IPL Cricket sports properties in India, Asia sub-continent, Europe, Africa and North America.  The technology stack and workflow design yielded a 30% overall cost savings vs outside vendors.

 

Mr. Gleeson was Production Operations Manager at Time Warner owned West Valley Studios in Los Angeles where he designed & managed multiple stages, production IP infrastructure, post-production, studio infrastructure & operations, engineering and outside sales with a net operating profit of over $5M per year.

 

He served as Managing Partner of Meridian Television Systems, a consulting and broadcast integration firm providing turnkey project management worldwide in the design, construction and workflow development of technical facilities, along with administrative “back office” space planning within existing and purpose-built commercial and technical real estate.
